DAY 72: I was awoken from sleep by a sound from the control panel. The sudden sound after more than a month of silence was startling. I hurried over to the panel and was surprised to find that the sound was an alert – the star had been detected by the ship's sensors! I entered the new heading and pressed the button marked Engage.
